Temperature Probes

Connect directly to any XR440 Data Logger input channel.  All probes utilize a precision 30k ohm thermistor with 0.1 deg. C interchangeability.  Up to four temperature probes can be connected to one XR440 Data Logger.  For temperatures up to 200°C, a Platinum RTD Probe is available.  For thermocouples, plug-in Thermocouple Modules are available.

Precision Temperature Probe for Pace Data Loggers

Epoxy tip with parallel 24 gage, PVC insulated leads (parallel bonded).  Probe dimensions: 0.127" diameter, 0.37" length.  For general purpose temperature measurement. Not for continuous immersion in water. (Mineral or silicon oil OK).

Temperature range: -50 to 105°C (-58 to 221°F) continuous duty
Lead length: 4 feet (1.2 meters)
Interchangeability: ±0.1°C from 20 to 45°C (68 to 113°F)

PT916

Precision Temperature Probe for Pace Data Loggers

Closed end stainless steel tube, 1/8" dia. by 4" long. 24 gage Teflon insulated leads. Suitable for liquid or gaseous immersion, refrigeration and general temperature applications. Can be inserted into a 'Pete's Plug' (used on refrigerant lines). A bored-through compression fitting is available (see below).

Temperature range: -50 to 120°C (-58 to 248°F) continuous duty
Intermittent maximum temperature: 150°C (302°F)
Lead length: 3 feet (0.9 meters)

Closed end stainless steel tube, 1/4" dia. by 2" long, with 20 ft (6.1 meters) shielded cable.  Rugged 0.19 inch (4.9mm) dia. probe cable.  Cable has sunlight resistant black PVC outer jacket.  Conductors are 22 gage.  Suitable for liquid immersion, direct burial in soil and general temperature monitoring applications requiring a rugged probe and cable.

Probe Extension Cable

User's can easily splice extension cable to any of the above probes. We recommend using copper 24 gauge two-conductor stranded cable for cable extensions of up to 100 ft. (30 meters). For longer extensions, use 22 gauge two-conductor stranded cable. Acceptable methods of splicing sensor leads to extension cable include wire nuts, crimp connectors, hand twisting and taping, or solder. For cable runs longer than 20 feet, we recommend using shielded cable (Belden 9501 or equivalent).
